Ohana Childminding is run by myself, Sarah Pearce and I have been a Ofsted registered childminder since 2015.
Background
I have diplomas in Childcare in a Home-Based setting and attend lots of courses and do relevant training where possible to keep updated with changes to E.Y.F.S. and childcare. I have been an assistant childminder for 2 years and have two of my own children, so I have a lot of experience working with children and love being a professional childminder.
Support
We work alongside many childcare practitioners and parents to support and care for children. Ohana Childminding follows the E.Y.F.S. statutory framework and are legally bound to put the children’s needs and safety first. We offer a range of activities planned around the children’s needs and interests and make various outings and trips, based on those needs and interests.
Communication
All children under the age of 5 will take home a daily diary to encourage parents to share in the day’s activities and offer the opportunity for feedback, We welcome your suggestions and new ideas. Our aim is to offer good quality care that meets the needs of the individual child. We have Policies and Procedures in place to be read and signed if you choose to use our services, which we will go through with you. We are currently allowed up to five children under the age of 8 years, three of those under the age of 5 years.
