Jane Newton started Ducklings as a Childminder in the 1990's so she could care for her three children.      

It started in two small rooms on the lower ground floor of the building.  

She has slowly built up the business with various family members joining in along the way as well as seeing it through extensive renovation work and extensions in 2012, to where it is now. With purpose built play rooms, sensory/sleep room, messy play area and extensive garden.       

Jane retired in 2016 for some much over-due rest and has put Ducklings into the care of her eldest daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Bob who, have continued to build on the foundations Jane laid down.
